About the Form ADV
The Form ADV is a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or other securities regulators by investment advisers as part of their legal registration. The form consists of two parts: Part 1 provides information about the adviser's business, ownership, affiliations, clients, employees, business practices, and any disciplinary events. Part 2 is a plain-English narrative brochure including information about the services offered, fees charged, investment strategies, and key employee backgrounds of a Registered Investment Advisor firm. The purpose of Form ADV is to provide transparency to regulators and clients regarding an investment adviser's business practices and potential conflicts of interest. The Form ADV is also made available to the public through the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) website.
